Put On The Purse Strings Mother's Day Contest

Using only cardboard, tape and paper make a purse that is creative and usable. All purses must be turned in to the mall office by May 14, 2006. Winner receives $500 worth of Metro North Mall Gift Certificates. Employees within Metro North Mall are not eligible. Contact the mall office for details.

Metro North Mall Fountain Fund Scholarship Ceremony

At 6:30 p.m. we will honor the area high school senior scholarship winners with their $500 checks. The ceremony will be located on the Center Court Stage.

The Sanderson Country and Blue Grass

The Sanderson's will entertain you with Blue Grass and Country music on the Center Court Stage in a free concert from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Toddler Games Driving School & Art Fair

Parents and children can draw a memorable picture for Mother's Day. Toddlers 1 – 5 years old can drive Step 2 ride on toys on the small track. Vehicles will be given away after the event. The event will be held on the lower level of Center Court from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m.

Picture Perfect Mother's Day

From 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. children 12 and younger can have their photo taken for free to give to mom for Mother's Day. Photos will be taken on the lower level Center Court .

Day of the Scots

Come Be A Scot Even If You're Not. From 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. enjoy Scottish culture with music, dancing, learning a variety of athletics and more. Located on the lower level Center Court Stage.

The Metro North Mall Kidz Corner

Join us on the lower level East wing at 6:30 p.m. for crafts, snacks and fun. The Kansas City Police Department will be on hand to talk about bicycle safety.

Jamie Lee will perform a free Country concert on the Center Court Stage from 7 p.m.- 9 p.m.

Awakening Productions will be here during mall hours with a wonderful display of endangered and exotic animals on the lower level near Original Pizza. There will be educational magic shows on the Center Court Stage Wednesday – Saturday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Photos and playtime available with some animals for a donation. All donations help to feed and house the animals with this not for profit group.

The Quality Arts and Crafts Show will have a variety of vendors with crafts of all types. The vendors will be located on the lower level during mall hours.

The Macy's ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 9:30 a.m. at their Southeast outer entrance. The Oak Grove Marching Band will perform.

16 - 17

The Metro North Mall Bridal Show will have a host of vendors to make your wedding a dream come true. The free Bridal Show will be open to the public from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. on Sunday. We will host a Bridal Fashion Show at 1 pm. daily. At 3 p.m. on Saturday one happy couple will be getting married on the Center Court Stage. Please join us for the wedding and have a piece of cake while it lasts.

Live wedding is sponsored by The Elegant Bride, Afterhours Formalwear, Dillards Salon and Spa, Foxy Nails, OnTrak Photography, Sun Tribune and Metro North Mall.

Kidz Corner will have their monthly meeting lower level near Original Pizza. Sign – In is at 6:30 p.m. Please do not be late, or you will miss Clay County Parks and Recreation's exhibit and talk. Enjoy crafts, snacks and fun. Bring a friend and earn extra credit.

Our annual Sports Card Show is back. Buy, sell and trade with a variety of vendors on the lower level Center Court . There will be Chiefs greats on Saturday from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m., Autograph price to be determined later.

Retired Minnesota Viking, 1974 Rookie of the Year, Chuck Foreman from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Cost per autograph will be $15.

The annual North Kansas City Schools – Metro North Mall College and Career Fair is here. From 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. on the lower level you may visit a large variety of different college and career opportunities. Representatives will be available to talk to you on the spot.
